According to the 2022 Data Centers Snapshot report prepared by the real estate consultancy Colliers, the number of data center projects in the Iberian Peninsula increased by 15% during the second half of the year, especially in Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. In our country, the capital is consolidating itself as a digital hub in southern Europe with 37 data centers (both operational and in development), while in Barcelona the IT power in development has increased by 37% compared to the first half of the year, with Cerdanyola del Vallès being the main focus in the province.
