Staying true to our ongoing commitment to providing top-tier infrastructure solutions, we’ve expanded the energy capacity of our Barcelona PTV data center by adding 2 MW of redundant additional capacity.
This expansion strengthens our ability to deliver the energy required to ensure the success of your company’s digital projects.
How Does This Benefit Our Clients?
The recent addition of 2 MW of redundant capacity to our Barcelona PTV data center not only enables us to increase the available energy for our six existing technical rooms but also allows us to begin constructing a seventh room, the final available space in this data center.
This new room will feature high energy density, specifically designed to handle critical and intensive workloads. It will be ideal for artificial intelligence projects and other colocation service applications that demand a robust, high-performance infrastructure.
With this expansion, our data center reinforces its position as a leading facility in the region, offering significant advantages to our clients:
- Increased Energy Capacity: The addition of 2 MW of redundant capacity ensures we can meet the growing energy demands of our clients, providing a stable and uninterrupted supply for their critical services.
- Security and Compliance: Our security and compliance standards remain at the forefront, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of the data hosted in our facilities.
- Flexibility and Scalability: The new high-density energy room is designed to support a wide range of applications, from artificial intelligence to big data, offering the flexibility needed to scale operations as business requirements evolve.
- Top-Tier Connectivity: With our own backbone network and local peering with major IXPs, our clients benefit from fast, reliable, and low-latency connectivity—essential for real-time operations and performance-sensitive applications.
Preparing for the Future
At Adam, we understand that technology and infrastructure needs evolve rapidly. This energy capacity increase and the creation of a seventh technical room highlight our commitment to staying ahead of the curve, providing our clients with the tools and resources needed to thrive in a dynamic and competitive digital environment.
Empowering the Infrastructure and Connectivity of Our Data Center
Our PTV data center is strategically located and equipped with its own optical fiber (OF) backbone network connecting Barcelona and Madrid, ensuring robust and reliable connectivity. Additionally, we offer local peering at three key Internet exchange points (IXPs): CATNIX, ESPANIX, and DE-CIX, along with direct access to Spain’s two major Points of Presence (PoP) in Barcelona and Madrid.
This advanced infrastructure enables us to provide a wide range of connectivity options and access to all carriers, both national and international.
We also offer direct and private (L2/L3) connectivity to all public cloud platforms located within the European Union.
